On the Mend...

I guess that I can say that, at least for the moment. Things here are going well, or as well as can be is how I should phrase it. For the last few weeks its been rather crazy. Princess got some type of virus that consisted of vomiting and loads of diarrhea. It last over a week with her ending up in the hospital for an overnight visit with and IV placed for dehydration. She was such a trooper through the whole thing. We had minimal crying and we got to spend some time together alone at the hospital which was nice. Then she went back to school for a couple of days and her asth*ma started to really act up. Nebulizing didn't even cut it, so we ended up at the Specialist office to come up with a new plan. Lots of medications that must be given to her twice daily and her not really enjoying it. I am hoping that we are all on the mend, because if not I just might loose my mind.

As far as Little Miss, she is actually doing fantastic. She is such a smart witty little girl. She loves to sing, dance, plays very nicely by herself, and is doing great at Pre-School. We decided to sign her up next year for another day at her Pre-School. So she will now be attending it 3 times a week. I love this since one of the days it seems that is when they do the most fun things, such as make play dough, bake cookies, and make a lot of home made items. I am looking forward to it, since one of the days I am actually going to get some free time to myself after I get both of them off to school. It's going to feel like heaven for a few hours. I haven't gotten that much free time in a long while. I figure that day I can get my errands done while they are both in school.

M is busy as ever, and work for her is crazy…..we talk about it on a daily basis of moving closer to our places of employment. I don't see that happening any time soon, but maybe in a few years we will re-evaluate the situation. For right now, it just doesn't seem like the right choice. For one, Little Miss would need to go in full day care for the time being until she could go into kindergarten and that won't be for another 2 years. And Princess would have to go into before and after school day care and that would cost us more that a mint. Although with these gas prices you have to wonder. Another whole subject to talk about for another day.

We are also in the works for a trip that we are going on in 2 weeks. I am so looking forward to it. This has been a trip in the works for any months and even though it's for a short time the place that we are going is much warmer than here and the people that I am going to see are super special. I will update on the trip when we get back. Hope everyone is doing well and I will update really soon!

Long Overdue

I am trying to apply my time more efficiently these days. With both work and home life being crazy I just don't seem to have the time to blog like I used to. I always seem to have a post lingering in my head but haven't found the time to sit and write. Writing is a true passion of mine. I used to sit for hours writing, and believe it or not, I have actually saved most of my journals from when I was younger. Some times I even dig them out of the closet and read them again. Remembering when life was so simple. All I had to worry about was what I was going to be doing for the weekend and with which friend. Since becoming a Mommy I have found that time is just to important to sit and take up time to write about me. But yet again, this is what I need to do sometimes to keep myself sane. So I am going to try and do at least a weekly posting about what has been going on and where my mind is at.

So today the project for the subject will be about my overall health:
Such health has been great, although it seems that after said last pregnancy my body thought that spotting was the way to work. I talked with my local OBGYN whom I go to for routine care and it was decided that I would go in for a "routine" D & C.
Such procedure was scheduled for 2/11. I arrived at 7 AM for day surgery. I had my IV placed, very nice drugs placed through the catheter and felt awesome.
I woke up feeling okay overall and was discharged just 45 minutes after said procedure.
Got home and lay on the couch to relax. After about an hour I had to go pee. I got off the couch and went down the hallway and at some point I guess I didn't make it to the bathroom. I passed out. I crawled to the bathroom because not only did I need to pee I was going to have diarrhea in my pants.
As I sat there I wondered what the h.e.l.l. hit me. I never in my wildest dreams thought it would be this painful.
I relaxed some more and by Saturday and Sunday felt okay, but not great.
Monday I went to work and took the said pain medication that was prescribed to me since I don't really like taking medication just so I wouldn't be painful during work.
While at work I thought I was going to die. I lay on the floor wondering what I should do. I decided I needed to go home. The only problem is, I work 35 minutes away from home and didn't know if I was going to make it. It took 4 trips of stopping to vomit before I even made it into the driveway.
Tuesday I placed a call to my doctors office at 9 AM as soon as they opened. I left work at 3 PM. I got home went to go to the bathroom and when I got out noticed that I missed a call on my cell phone that was on vibrate and it was said doctor telling me that she was leaving the office and to contact her on Wednesday. That was at 4:19 PM
Wednesday I got to work and felt about the same but not worse. No vomiting or anything. I decided to not call her and wait it out.
Thursday I worked and by the afternoon before leaving work it felt like a horse had kicked me in the stomach as hard as he could or another thought did 500 sit ups.
I got home took some pain medication and shower and went to bed. During the night I got up a couple of times and thought, "wow, this is really painful."
Friday I got up as normal, got Princess ready for school and on her way and took Little Miss for a couple of errands that I needed to do. While out I thought, " my gawd, I think I'm dying!"
I headed home to rest and waited for M to get home. When she got home I told her I needed to go to the hospital.
I drove there with my aunt and got in to the ER. When I got there I just sobbed. They got me in and placed another IV catheter and pain medication. Morphine wasn't even cutting it. I was taken to have a CT scan and it was determined that I have a perforation to my uterus, and was full of blood/puss.
I was admitted for 3 days and placed on 2 IV antibiotics that was given to me twice daily.
I went home on Sunday with minimal bleeding. Only to return to the hospital on Tuesday for heavy bleeding.
Doctor said it was normal, had an ultrasound and it was still determined that I was full of "shit". Placed on two antibiotics and told to go to my regular OBGYN.
Called the office and got in to see her on Wednesday. She couldn't believe it, said that "maybe" something happened by my c-section scar. Did examination again. She felt okay with her findings and wanted me to continue on the antibiotics for 4 weeks total.
Woke up in the middle of the night with my head in the bucket vomiting violently. Called her Thursday to discuss my concerns with how large of a dosage of antibiotics I am on and that I am sick as a dog. She called in a prescription of Zo*fran.
I am hoping to be on the mend now. I just feel queasy if I don't take the nausea medication first.
Overall though, very thankful to still have my girl bits in place. Nothing is supposed to be harmful long term. I can still get pregnant. And I am looking forward to that at some point. :)

In a nut shell, life at the moment has been so crazy. Hoping for it to settle soon!

Changes Part II

So, where was I? Oh yes right, snow…. We have had far to much snow these past few weeks and lots of snow days to add to the mixture. Snow days for the kids along with me missing work to stay home with the kids. Things at my work have been rather crazy in that there has been a lot of tit for tat, he said she said kind of thing. My boss for the most part is pretty easy, but with my last pregnancy she had a difficult time understanding it all. So much so that when I was ready to come back, I didn't know if I would have a job to go back to. After a lot of tears and wondering I did go back but not 8 weeks from my delivery date but 12 weeks. She had hired someone else right before I went out of work and I think that lady was supposed to take over my position. I think she might have made herself out to be better than she actually was, so when I came back things kind of fell back into place as they were before I even left. Lately though, I have had a feeling that this said woman was trying really hard to get rid of me. It has all felt like the game of Sur*vivor. Who can outwit, outlast, and outplay one another. I love to watch that show, but I would make a bad player. I hate to lie, and I certainly am a paranoid person, always wondering if someone is talking about me or doesn't like me. So, over that last few weeks things have been going down hill. Last Thursday was the boiling point, and my boss had, had enough. She fired such woman, and it was a day from h e double l! I went home that day stressed to my eye balls wondering what was in store. Unfortunately I don't work Fridays so I had to go through the weekend wondering what really happened over the weekend. I cried buckets on Friday wondering what I should do. I started checking the Internet for new jobs, looking into school. What avenue would I ultimately take? I placed a call to a school to check out the Med. Assistant program, and went to the school on Saturday with my parents while M stayed home with the kids. I thought it might be a good choice but after talking with my Mom, my ultimate goal has always been to become a Reg. Nurse. I either want to work in Labor and Delivery or the NICU. I have begun the process to get myself going, and get back into the swing of things. I dug out my diploma and looked up my GPA. I was astonished to realize that I maintained a 3.97 grade point average and graduated with honors, and was in the honor society. I also put myself out there and sent my resume to a local center where M and I began the long journey to become parents. They are looking for a part time Assistant to schedule appointments for their AI program. Right up my alley. I got that call yesterday, and had my phone interview with the woman who runs the program. It went well, and she wants me to come in to have my formal interview next Thursday, only problem, I thought the position was just part time, it was told to me that in fact it is part time, but temporary since the person whom usually has the position is out on Medical leave. I don't know what to do now, I would love to still go for the interview just so I can get my feet wet, and talk with her that if something comes up sometime to give me a call. But to travel an hour away from my work to go to this said interview, pay for parking just to say that, has me once again questioning my decision. I can not take a temporary job, not now, not ever. So what should I do? What would you do? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Changes

I have been on Face*book for sometime now. I have a hard time deciding what I should and what I shouldn't say on Face*book. I have people whom I like and know, but I still have a hard time in writing everything down there. I have always found my blog to be my safe haven (if you will) to write what I truly feel. I thought a couple of weeks ago that I would invite everyone from my Face*book account to come and view this blog. Then I became the person that I usually do. I tend to get nervous as to who is reading this. I want to be able to come here and write whatever I feel and not be judged on what I might be saying. So I changed the blog name, again. And will only give this site out to people I want to read this.

Anyways, change is in the works at this household. Things have been very busy with this household. About a week ago Little Miss got hand, foot, and mouth. Not a big deal for most children and actually she has had it before. What the problem was, was that she didn't want to eat or drink anything, and I mean anything. 24 hours after Grammie J bringing her to the doctors, M and I ended up at the hospital because she hadn't peed in 24 hours. She was admitted with an IV catheter placed and ended up having 2000 c.c.s of IV fluids before she would even think of peeing. She only ended up peeing 200 c.c.s at that point, but they were just happy that she did anything. We ended up being released later that day. Things on that front have been better. Although who will know what the future holds as far a sickness in this house since this weather is so wacky. Speaking of weather, we have had far more snow than I ever want to see and wouldn't you know that we are heading into having another snow storm this coming up Wednesday. I don't know how much yet, but if you look out the window and see what is out there now, I don't even know where they are going to put anymore. The City is already over budget and we aren't even half way through the winter season. To be continued…..

Moments In Time

Today is the first Friday that I have been able to be home on my day off. Usually there seems to be something that must be done.

I woke up this morning to M getting ready for work and Little Miss thumping down the hallway to our bedroom. I don't know if M was to loud or if Little Miss just being Little Miss and decided today would be that day that she would get up at 4:30 AM. Either way she ended up in our bed. M headed out the door and Little Miss continued to talk, and talk. Finally falling back asleep at 6 AM when it was time for me to get up to get Princess going for school. I woke up doing my normal routine of getting Princesses lunch box around and packing her back pack. I got her up and in the tub to play some while I picked up the house. I got her dressed and ready finally finishing up getting her some breakfast. All the while Little Miss was still asleep in my bed down the hallway. Princess and I talked about what she would be doing in school today and what would be happening during her day. I got her dressed to wait for the bus. We waited and waited because it was her first day back after this huge snow storm that we the other day creating the city to be in disarray for a couple of days and school being out for two. The bus finally arrived 10 minutes late, but not to bad if I say so myself. I came inside to Little Miss waking up and coming down the hall only to proceed to call for Princess. It was rather a sad site. She called and called only for me to tell her that she was on the bus going to school. She had the saddest little face with the quivering lip and all. She wanted Princess to stay home and play with her. I felt so bad….These are the moments in time that I wish I could just stop time.

Time just doesn't seem to stay still long enough. Each day I seem to wish the day would go quicker. Especially the days when I have to go to work. From the moment I get up in the morning and get ready I am already wishing that the day would be over. It's not that I don't like my job, but I find myself longing for a job that I feel so passionately about. I hope in the near future something will head my way for me to do it. But for now, I am going to try and take each day as it comes and enjoy it. Like they say take a lemon and turn it into lemonade. I feel like my kids are growing up way to quickly and I so much wish I would and could have more time to enjoy the little things that are going on. So today while Princess is at school, that is exactly what I am doing, enjoying my time home ALONE with Little Miss. She is loving all this attention, and I am loving this moment in time with her!

BC (Before Children)

I was just going through my computer and came across some pictures that I find amazing! These photos are from before we became a couple, to becoming a couple and then becoming married.

It's been 14 years that we became a couple. That we said that we would be together and only us. I was 15 and she was 17…..It seems like yesterday but yet I know logically it's been sometime. We have been through so much. Death in our families, a divorce between my father in law and mother in law, the death of our beloved dogs, to trying and becoming pregnant. Then doing it all over again for the second time. It amazes me each and every time I see my other half with our kids. She is such a strong, thoughtful, caring, Mom. Our kids adore her, and she adores them even more. I am so happy to call her my wife, best friend, and just so glad that we have got to experience this life together. I can't wait to see what 2011 brings to our household. I know that this year is going to be very exciting. Together with the love from my wife it will all come together. I am so thankful for her support.

I love you M! I am so glad that you are mine!! XOXOXO

Just Sitting and Thinking

For some reason tonight I am sitting in bed getting ready to shut my eyes for the evening but thought I would write some before bed.

Yesterday was a great day. I had a lovely letter sent to me, and all I can say is that I am delighted. Two reasons that I can't really go into here, but are two great things that will be happening in 2011 for my family. I am looking forward to it all.

Also, as I sit and think about everything, I just begin to wonder. M and I have been talking for some time about having a 3rd child. At first a while ago when I came into some more vials of our donor I talked with M about having a 3rd. She wasn't interested at that time. Then over time she was the one that actually brought it up to me. We discussed it all and after some talking she decided that she would really like to have a genetic child even though she doesn't want to carry him/her. I got some vials and stored them for safe keeping still unsure what the future would hold. We went to our RE that we used to conceive both our daughters and talked about the process. Cost wise, I wasn't all that concerned since it is way less for what we paid to have both our daughters. But I still sit and wonder, how will we do it? Will we be able to provide each child what they will want? Not so much what they need, but what they want? See we have really created monsters already. Princess at the ripe age of 5 got a power wheels at the age of 1 and the presents have only gotten bigger from there. I*Pod, New D S I, you name it this kid has it. Little Miss on the other hand, doesn't request as much. She loves to go to the store and play with the toys but doesn't ask for much. We still get her what she wants but for some reason I guess she isn't as big of a diva. The biggest gift that she had asked for was a John Dee*re tractor just like her Papa's. She got that for her birthday this year. I just have so many things swirling in my head. I want a 3rd baby so bad of our own, yet wonder what life would be like. I know there is no right or wrong answer, I just wish I had a crystal ball to tell me what the future holds. We shall see I guess....

Day 3 of the New Year!

Day 3 of the New Year...it doesn't seem like 3 days has already gone by. But then again I guess it has. Lets see, on Friday night we decided to trek out with the kids in tow to get some snacks for the evening. We thought we would have a nice relaxing night spending some quality time together as a family. After shopping we headed back home. I did some laundry, cleaning of the house, and giving baths to the girls. After eating dinner I continued my cleaning spree and finished up by taking a nice shower. While in the bathroom I noticed that M still had the debit card in her pocket. I took it out and put it on the counter. As I got out of the shower I said to myself, " I must put this away so that Little Miss doesn't get a hold of it", ya we all know where this is going to go....I haven't got a clue as to where I went with it from there. I woke up the next morning continuing on the cleaning spree to take down this damn tree and M wanted to go out to get lunch for all of us. My cousin had come over to trim my hair, along with the girls. (She is going to hair dressing school) She went into my pocket book and asked me where the card was. I was puzzled, I went searching and looking to no available. I feel like I have Alzheimer's. Sad at the age of 29. Scary as to what's to come in the near future if I am already going insane. I still haven't found it. So tomorrow I will go to the bank after work to apply for a new card. I haven't been all that stressed because I know that it is in this house. Where I don't know, but I do know that it is here. We didn't go anywhere since I was a in bed and asleep by 8. Then yesterday I wake up to do the dishes and get the kids some cereal for breakfast to only having luke warm water....my first thoughts, shit the hot water heater, you have got to be kidding me right!?!?! We reset the button and so far so good. I am crossing my fingers that it's not on it's way out and that nothing else crazy is going to happen. One last thing, please wish me luck. I have a phone call that I am getting ready to do hopefully tomorrow and waiting for some information as well. Hoping for some good news soon!

A Year In Review....

I have so much to say, but once again so little time. I have decided to share a few pictures that have been taken throughout the year to show everyone how my year has been. I have to say 2010 has been an amazing, and trying year all in one. I have had such pleasure and sadness rolled into one. My kids and wife have brought nothing but pure happiness into my life. I can only hope that this coming up year is as good, if not better than the last. Let's all hold up our glass and say CHEERS! Hoping everyone has a Happy New Year! May I be able to experience another year of happiness!!

Tired.

Tonight I am exhausted. We got up this morning and looked outside, realizing that today we MUST clean up all these leaves. See the only problem is, not one of those leaves are ours. Wait, forgive me, we have one little maple tree that we planted in our front yard two years ago (sugar banjo as my kids call him) that has a total of maybe 40 leaves or so. Other than that we have no trees in our yard that shed. We have a beautiful cedar tree in our back yard, along with some other smaller trees, but none of them shed their leaves. Unfortunately we have neighbors on every side, and angle that have trees, many trees. Some of our neighbors are nice and actually clean their yards, while one neighbor on the right side of me NEVER cleans their yard. Hence we always get their leaves. This is the second year that they have not even attempted to come out and help us rake. I must first admit that they are older, but they have a son who is about 24 years old (young) that is able to help us, but seems to not acknowledge that we are even out there busting our hump. Also mind you that this troubled young man doesn't work, but rather sponges off his parents. One who is disabled and one that works for minimum wage at a local sweat shop as I call it. I feel bad for even bitching, but I am tired of it. This kid is nothing but a loser and deals drugs and is a druggie himself. I just so tired of it. M told me not to even complain to the parents because it isn't worth it, but it still can drive me crazy. I have to say that I love the way the yard looks though when it is all clean. We did some organizing of the things in our shed and cleaned our enclosed porch. I feel like I just got so much accomplished today.

A side note and off topic. I am very excited about tomorrow. Our (hopefully) Home Midwife is coming to meet us tomorrow. I have been looking into having a home birth for our last child. She knows that we aren't pregnant yet, but we would still like to meet her and get the details of her services. It should be a fun time. I will update you tomorrow night after her meeting. Wish us luck!

Last Pill

So tonight marks the last night of me taking Pro*vera to jump start my cycle. I just wonder if it is really going to do anything. I also wanted to comment that I in fact went to the Endocrinologist last week whom also thought that I DO have PC*OS. He did a quick finger stick to check my glucose along with something else, and that came back fine. He then sent me for some lab work to see what my blood work was showing. I haven't heard anything yet, but he did start me on the Metformin 500mg twice daily. I have to say I haven't felt any different besides my poor behind. It has given me tremendous issues. I don't really need to loss weight since I have lost all my baby weight and then some, but I'm sure that I will loose some with the amount of fluids that are coming out. SIGH...I have no other choice though. This must be correct before becoming pregnant again.

What else, I seem to be dragging my feet today to get things done. My house is completely cleaned along with all our laundry done and put away, but the yard needs to be racked. M just went to the store and I am waiting for her to come back and then she is going to do outside and do some work on our wall that she did last year. See, people around here can't drive and although we have put up poles so that BEFORE they would hit the wall they would hit the pole, they have yet to hit that damn pole and have managed to hit that wall on oh I say about 5 occasions. We are getting sick of it for sure, but it needs to be fixed. So the plan is to let the girls go outside bundled up to play while she works out there and then I am going to go grocery shopping. Oh how fun, I know you all find that to be a great day out! Then I figure when I get back I will go outside and try and rack some. I could use the exercise some and I love the way the yard looks when it is complete. I will take before and after pictures of it. For now, I'll get in the shower and get ready to leave. Hopefully M will be home soon so that things get done.

Relax

Today is a relaxing day, or so I think. M and I went Christmas shopping last night and got a few things. I feel like we at least have made some progress with our projects. We first went on Wednesday and completed their passports. Then with doing some of shopping is making me feel good. I had my parents watch the girls last night while we went shopping and unfortunately Princess is now sick. My parents have two dogs and I don't know if I have stated here or not, but Princess is extremely allergic to many things, dogs, cats, feathers, and dust mites. She is on two inhalers, Zy*rtec once daily, a nasal spray once daily, and for added measure has to use Cortisone for Ex*zema that she has that flares up about every 2 weeks on the creases of her arms and back of her legs. So of course being around the dogs last night didn't help at all. This morning she woke up with a bad cough, having a difficult time breathing and has also developed a low grade fever of 99.8. So while M took Little Miss out today to go to the mall, Princess and I hung out and watched the Bee Movie. It has been a very low key day and I am grateful for it. My house is decorated for Christmas, the laundry is all complete, the dog is bathed, and we are all dressed in our PJ's. It couldn't be a better day!

Nesting

It's so weird, I am nesting big time. The only thing is I'm not pregnant! We decided to really get down and dirty and clean this house. It started on Saturday with steam cleaning the carpets in the girls room and completing it in the living room last night. Yesterday we set up the Christmas tree and decorated for the holiday season (even though it's not even Thanksgiving). I got down on my hands and knees and cleaned my hardwood floors in the dining room as well. I was up until 11 PM last night and after coming home from work today I started on our last room, my bedroom. I have a little more to go before washing the carpets in there too. Then my house will be complete for the Midwife to come here on the 29th to visit for the first time.

So now that we had our appointment, I will discuss it some here. M and I thought that having the two girls would make our family complete. Over time though she really got thinking that she really wants another baby for our family. We did a little research and came across vials of our donor. We had discussed our options and what we wanted to do for our last child. It was decided that M really wanted to have a biological child but of course she has no desire to carry. We made an appointment with our RE to discuss the process and what we are looking at for each of us, cost, and time line. It went very well, and we will be underway with our "maybe baby" in a little bit. First I will be doing another journey before this. From there we will each sync our cycles while M gets to shoot up with medication to produce multiple eggs. From there they will be placed into my womb which will hopefully be the home for 9 months to our last bundle of joy! A nice healthy singleton pregnancy :)

Happy 3rd Birthday Little Miss!

I haven't had the opportunity to sit down and write up a post, but today I brought my computer to work and without the boss being here, this are allll gooodddd!

Little Miss,
3 years has gone by, and Momma with the spikes and I can't even being to believe that you are now 3. You are not a baby anymore, and any time that I refer to you as my baby you quickly respond with, "I'm a big girl!" You are though, and as much as I don't want to admit it, it's true. Some things that you have achieved:

~You are potty trained now and have been for about 3 months now. You started right after your sister's birthday. You did it all on your own without us pushing it. You are very proud of yourself when you go too. You make sure that you let us know each time you go.

~You are almost potty trained through the night as well. We definitely didn't expect that at all. For the last week you have woken up dry even though we still put a diaper on you at night.

~You talk up a storm. Your vocabulary is very good now.

~You get along nicely with all kids. You love to play outside at Grammie J's house or in our yard with the chalk with your sister.

~You love school. This past week you were sick, so we didn't send you. By Sunday you were asking when you were going back. So cute if I say so myself.

~You love Spider*Man, tractors, and anything that a boy would like. You even dressed up as Spider*Man this year for Halloween.

Momma and I are just so proud of you! Know that you are loved each and every day and that you have brought unbelievable joy into our lives!

Happy 5th Birthday PRINCESS!

I know that I am late posting about our Princess turning 5. I can't even begin to imagine 5 years has gone by. It seems just like yesterday we were planning for you. Wishing, hoping, and praying to become pregnant. When we found out we were expecting our world was "complete." We went out on our mommy trips planning each and everything that we wanted for you. How happy you were going to make us. When we found out you were a girl, we couldn't be more happier. We knew just the name for you, and Princess it was. We had picked that name because in high school we had a girl that was just so cute and dainty with such a beautiful name. I just knew that if and when I had a baby girl that would be here name. Momma always liked the name as well so we never had to have the discussion of what it would be. When you arrived it was such a special moment. I will never forget it that is for sure. You have brought nothing but a little diva ness to our household. You love going with me for pedicure and manicures. You love having your hair done and play with makeup on a daily basis. You are going into your third year of dance school and you are just so damn confident. I am truly blessed to be your mommy! Sending you off to kindergarten is a bitter sweet moment. One that I never thought would come, but has. In less than 2 weeks you will be waiting in front of our house for that big yellow school bus. Hard to believe if you ask me anything!

Long Break

I have been so busy these last months that I haven't been posting like I should. Lots going on for sure. Our household is always on the go that I don't seem to catch a break.

Updates:
~Princess is going on 5....yes people 5. I can't even begin to imagine it, but in a couple of short weeks she is turning 5. She is getting ready for kindergarten and we signed her up in April or so. She is very excited to be attending, and it is full days so it will be nice for Grammie J to only be watching Little Miss during the day.

~She graduated from pre-school in June. I cried like a baby seeing her up on the stage singing the songs that she learned with all her other friends.

~She is a little girl now. She has a mind of her own and can be challenging sometimes. She loves makeup and high heals to wear. She doesn't just want play kid make up, oh no she wants "real" make up. You know the Cover*girl make up that cost 8.00 or more dollars for lipstick. Ya, that is the kind. I guess you can call us crazy for buying it, or rather yet creating a monster is more like it.

~She is a joy to have and I just can't believe that she is going to school.

Update on Little Miss

~She is a true blessing and brings a smile to my face every time I talk about her.

~She can express her needs and wants like a trooper. She tells on her sister when she is misbehaving or is being a typical sister and they are fighting.

~We are working on potty training her. She isn't as easy as Princess was. She hates being in a poopy diaper, but yet hasn't decided that going on the potty is better. We have gotten her to use it a couple of times, but nothing to brag about yet.

~She will be attending pre-school, the same school that Princess just graduated from two days a week. She is also very excited about this and I am hoping that it will help her get more focused and her listening skills will improve

~She is a typical 2.5 year old in so many ways, but I don't remember Princess being nearly as challenging as she is. She has been found hanging from the dining room light swinging. Yes, this is what we contend with.

~She is still by far the love bug of the house. She adores M like no tomorrow. She gives hugs and kisses without being asked. She tells you a few times a day that she loves you. And WE love her.

As for us:

M is doing well, working like crazy. Her office moved further away, so it is taking about 1 hour or so to get there. She is usually exhausted by the time she gets home. We enjoy our time together on the weekends especially.

For now, I enjoy this beautiful weather with my family and hope you all are doing well. (If anyone is still checking in of course :) )

It's Been A Long Time

Sorry it's been so long again since blogging. I haven't really found the groove again to blog. I have a lot to say, just little time to actually say it. Things are going well at our house. The girls are getting so big. Princess is doing well in school and learning to write her name. At the end of this school year, she will be attending kindergarten. Holy smokes! I can't even begin to tell you how I really feel about that. It just doesn't seem real. Little Miss is doing fantastic as well. Talking up a storm and being our little bruit of the house. She gets into everything and loves to play with the boys at Grammie J's house when they come over. (The boys are her cousins) She will be attending preschool next year for 2 days a week to get her used to the interaction with other children her age. I believe that it will also continue to help with her speech. Other than that, things are going well at the D-H household. Oh and did I mention that we are getting a new puppy?! I can't even believe that I am saying this. Really I didn't want to get another dog, but M has been so persistent about getting one that I finally gave in. She will be arriving probably next Friday if everything turns out like it is supposed to. I will not put up to much details until we know for sure she is arriving at our house. But for now she is ours and she will be getting shipped to us hopefully next Friday. So be on the look out for pictures of all our kids!

January Already

I can't seem to believe that it's already January. It seems just like yesterday we were celebrating Little Misses birthday. So much so that I haven't even taken her for her 2 year pictures. (bad mommy) I have to get to it though, since I have taken Princess since the very beginning. It just wouldn't be fair if I didn't.

Things are going well around here. It's bitterly cold, and there is still to much snow on the ground for my liking. I have always said that I wanted to live in Florida, but after seeing the weather there lately, it sure doesn't look any better. Maybe not having the snow to clean up might be the only plus side at the moment. The girls are doing great, and although we have been battling a cold of some sort for the last month or so we seem to be on the mend. About a week ago it was so bad that I had Grammie J take both girls in to the doctors just to make sure I wasn't neglecting them. (I never do...just a side note) He just said that it was a cold with both of them to use a humidifier, and that the reason why Little Miss was so fussy was that she was cutting her 2 year back molars. I have seen them cutting through for a while, but he thinks that is why she has been fussy. Since seeing him though, we seem to be better. M is doing well and work has been super busy lately for both of us. It is hard to believe that for me since it is winter and most people head down south for the winter, and this is usually our slow season. It's nice though being busy, since it can be very boring all day long sitting doing nothing. For Christmas we got a new living room set. I absolutely love it. It got delivered this Saturday and we had our carpets in the living room professionally cleaned. They came out great and smelt even better. Our living room is coming together finally. We went out today to an art show and got a great painting for our wall. It looks great and fits the wall and decor nicely.

That is about it from our neck of the woods. I hope everyone is doing well, and may this new year bring you all nothing but happiness and good health!

Wow It's Been That Long

It's not that I am trying to neglect this blog, but so much has gone on that I haven't seemed to have the time to sit and blog. The girls are doing well, and are growing way to fast. Princess is very smart, and witty. While Little Miss is a little dare devil, from pushing the chair over to the counter to climb up to get the chocolate on top of it, to getting into lotion and putting it all over her body...with clothes on. These are the things that I have been doing with my girls. Princess is loving both preschool and dance school. This past week I went to dance school and got to watch the class. We usually get to do that about twice a year. It was nice to see all that Princess has learned. She is now the oldest girl in the class at the ripe age of 4. Next year she will progress into the next age bracket all the while Little Miss will be joining and attending this class. As long as the little one is potty trained. What does that mean? She acts like she doesn't know what the big girl potty is even though she really wants to wear big girl undies. Hopefully soon. Our house is full of festiveness if that is even a word. We decorated our Chris*tmas tree right after Thanks*giving and it looks beautiful as always. We had our first real snow storm, more than that a blizzard today. It snowed buckets. As I speak Princess, M, and my Dad went to Grammie J's house to snow blow her driveway. Unfortunately we both have to work tomorrow so we need J to come over to watch the girls. M is only working a 1/2 day, but I have to work a full day. Doesn't seem that logical, but my boss just doesn't get it. What can I say.... Our Chrit*mas shopping is nearly complete. We just need to get stocking stuffers, and 2 more people, which I hope to get done tomorrow after work. Our gifts are wrapped, and now we wait for the big man to arrive. The kids are beyond excited, this should be a fun year.

Thanksgiving

Thank*giving is tomorrow, and I can't seem to understand how the time this year has slipped away so quickly. It doesn't even seem possible that we even went through a summer yet. You can surely tell at my house that it is now fall. Remember all those leaves that we raked up about 2 or so weeks ago? Let's just say that our yard doesn't even look like we even raked. M will have to go out there when the weather is looking brighter since it has been raining and drizzly for the past couple of days. This time should be it though. All the leaves are finally gone that are located in other peoples yards. Anyways, what I really wanted to talk about today was Thank*giving. Thanks*giving is one of my most favorite holidays, besides Chris*tmas of course. It is a time that we get together with my parents, and family. As we sit down and eat together at the family table, it's so nice to relax and talk. We talk about what has been going on, what we hope will go on, and such. We don't get together as much as I would like, but the time that we do spend together is so nice. This year is going to be interesting because Princesses god father was married as I think I stated previously. He usually makes our day very special because all we do is laugh. This year I am not even sure he is going to be coming over. I think he is going with his new wife over her families house. I sure am going to miss him being there this year. But what I am most thankful for is my wife, and kids. They are the most precious gifts that I could have ever asked for. My wife is so supportive of me and my decisions, and is the best momma you could have asked for to parent my kids with. And my kids, I just adore them. They are my everything. Even when there is fighting between them on a daily occurrence, I still wouldn't have it any other way. So, this year, I will enjoy my family while having great food. And after relax with them. Being together this year is the most important thing to me. I hope you all have a great holiday!
